TRAPPING
We are working towards a predator-free Lower Hutt, providing rat traps and advice to any residents who want to start backyard trapping. In the last three years the number of backyard traps and kills have significantly increased, many of them logged on the trapNZ website.
Since 2022, Andre Oliver and other volunteers have been setting traplines on reserve lands with impressive results.

If you want to help maintain a trapline on reserve land please speak to Andre – checking on traps is a great excuse to take a walk around Korokoro and enjoy the birdlife that we are helping to support.
